1. Context & Objective

  • The Challenge: Booking family accommodations often involves complex decision-making regarding space, safety, and kid-friendly amenities. The challenge was to design a platform that reduces cognitive load for parents and simplifies the planning process.
  • The Objective: To build a user-centric website prototype from scratch, backed by a logical Information Architecture (IA) and an in-depth understanding of family travel behaviors.

2. Core Concept & UX Strategy

  • User-Centered Research: The foundation of the project relied on thorough Empathy Mapping and the development of detailed User Personas to accurately capture the pain points and expectations of parents.
  • Information Architecture: A meticulously structured sitemap was created to ensure that users could effortlessly navigate through room selections, amenities, and the checkout process without friction.

3. Design Execution

  • Comprehensive Design System: Developed a robust and scalable design system, establishing clear guidelines for typography, color palettes, and UI components to maintain strict visual consistency across the entire platform.

  • High-Fidelity Prototyping: Translated the wireframes and UX research into a polished, modern website prototype. The visual aesthetic leaned into a clean, professional, and trustworthy European style, ensuring a premium feel.
